Atchison Dental Associates, PA is committed to making our website accessible to everyone, including people with disabilities. We believe the same care we bring to the chair should extend to how you find us, learn about your options, and get in touch.

Our Commitment
We are working to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA — the standard referenced by the U.S. Department of Justice under the Americans with Disabilities Act. Accessibility is an ongoing effort rather than a one-time project, and we review and improve this site as we go.
To be straightforward with you: we consider this site partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 Level AA. That means most of the site meets the standard, but some parts do not yet fully conform. The known gaps are listed below.
What We've Built Into This Site
- Keyboard navigation. All pages, menus, forms, and pop-up windows can be operated without a mouse. Dropdown menus open on keyboard focus, and pop-ups can be closed with the Escape key.
- A skip link. Pressing Tab when a page loads offers a "Skip to main content" link so you don't have to tab through the whole menu.
- Descriptive text for images. Photographs carry written descriptions for screen readers, and decorative elements are hidden from them so they don't add noise.
- Readable contrast and text. We aim for high-contrast color combinations throughout, and pages reflow without side-to-side scrolling down to a 320-pixel-wide screen. The accessibility button also lets you enlarge the text on any page.
- Clear structure. Pages use proper headings, landmarks, and lists so screen readers can navigate them in a logical order.
- Labeled forms. Every form field has a visible label, and errors are announced rather than shown by color alone.
- Respect for motion settings. Background video is muted and never plays sound. It does not start at all if your device asks for reduced motion, and a pause button sits in the corner of the video. The accessibility button can pause all motion.
Assistive Tools on This Site
Every page carries an accessibility button in the lower-left corner. Opening it gives you a set of adjustments that stay applied as you move around the site and are remembered on your next visit:
- Quick profiles for vision impairment, low vision, dyslexia, focus and attention, keyboard-only use, and seizure safety
- Larger text, adjustable in steps
- Contrast themes — high-contrast dark, high-contrast light, and inverted colors
- Color adjustments — muted, greyscale or more vivid
- A more readable font, with wider letter and line spacing
These tools are a convenience layer, not a substitute for building the site properly. The structure, labeling, keyboard support and contrast described above are built into the pages themselves, and the site is designed to work with your own screen reader, magnifier or browser settings whether you use this button or not.
Known Limitations
We would rather tell you where the gaps are than claim there are none. As of the date above:
- Facial esthetics booking. Booking with our nurse injector uses a scheduling tool provided by another company. We do not control its code, and we cannot guarantee it meets the same standard. If it does not work for you, email Morgan directly or call the office and we will schedule you personally.
- Online bill payment. Our payment page links to a third-party billing portal that we do not control. You are always welcome to pay by phone or in person instead.
- Before-and-after photographs. These have written descriptions, but images of clinical results cannot fully convey the same detail in words. We are glad to talk you through results at a consultation.
- The map on our contact page. The embedded map is provided by Google and we do not control it. Our address is written out in text beside it, and we are glad to give directions over the phone.
- Documents. Some forms or documents we provide may originate as PDFs from outside sources and may not be fully tagged for screen readers. Ask us and we will provide the information in another format.
Third-Party Content
Parts of this website rely on services operated by other companies, including our online scheduling tool, our billing portal, and embedded maps. We choose our partners carefully and raise accessibility concerns with them, but we cannot control or repair their code. Where a third-party tool creates a barrier, we will always provide an alternative way to get the same thing done — by phone, by email, or in person.
